In the technology market we built the largest Australian media Company focused on enterprise and the B2B market. This business that included iTNews, Windows Magazine and Computer Reseller News was sold to a large US media Company.
In 2021 we established 4Square Media, a media Company that covers the fast growing consumer electronics, audio, appliance and custom install industry. We still own that business today.

Brands, grew up in a world of advertising, today online research is playing a key role in consumer purchase decisions, with information marketing presented in an editorial format now being used by brands along with influencers to deliver brand and product information.
We have been delivering information marketing for big brands for decades, we have also partnered with JB Hi Fi, one of Australia’s most successful retailers, we pioneered BMW Magazine, a 600,000 per quarter publication for AAMI, we produced a food magazine for BHP to drive sales of canned food as well as publications for Dulux and Shell.
We have partnered with JB Hi Fi for more than 15 years in the delivery of information marketing spanning appliances and technology products.
We have content live on the Companies web site that generates over 20 million visitors a month on average, we also partner with The Good Guys and airlines to deliver content.

We also own 4Square Media, a technology media company that was founded in 2001. This was the early days of home automation, smartphones and before we had lithium battery powering everything.
Our publications include SmartHouse, Plug, as well as Scope – a new series of publications that now include Scope Residential, Scope Appliances and Scope Entertainment.
We also own ChannelNews, Australia’s #1 online source of information for suppliers and sellers of CE, audio and appliances. This site generates over 1.2 million visitors according to SemRush Research with over 90% coming in directly because they trust our editorial. We also reach millions of consumers every month.
For more than 16 years we have been an exclusive media partner of JB Hi Fi and The Good Guys.
Our publications are embedded in key sections on The Good Guys and JB Hi Fi web sites which attract over 20 million visitors every month.
Our digital publications allow consumers to watch a video and buy direct from the JB Hi Fi or The Good Guys websites.
15 years ago, we decided not to rely on social media, Google Facebook or the likes of Instagram to deliver traffic for our content. Instead, we built out access to large direct audiences such as those that pour into JB Hi Fi or The Good Guys every day as these were consumers who had a credit card and were often looking for information and a third-party review of a product prior to making a purchase.
JB Hi-Fi’s target audience is a broad mix of consumers, including young, tech-savvy individuals and families looking for consumer electronics and home appliances. Described as Australia’s most successful retailer they have mass appeal across multiple age groups interested in the latest technology, including mobile phones, gaming consoles, and other gadgets.
They also sell products that we write about that appeal to families and those focused on outfitting their homes with appliances and other electronics.
With the growth of online shopping, JB Hi-Fi has over the years adapted to the changing retail landscape and expanded their online presence to capture a wider audience and now reach over 20,000,000 consumers a month via their web site where SmartHouse is exposed 52 weeks of the year.
We also push content to The Good Guys customer who are looking for information on appliance, wellness and PC and entertainment products.
Their audience is primarily families in particular female shoppers, and homeowners living in apartments. They sell a wide range of appliances and electronics at competitive prices and they appeal to a broad demographic through their focus on value, brand variety, and customer service.
The brand is known for offering competitive pricing and deals, attracting customers looking for the best value for their money as well as the satisfaction that they are dealing with a retailer they can trust.

Some call it public relations; we prefer to call it information marketing.
Today three things are key when it comes to getting sales or fixing a marketing problem via the use of information. Whether its information distributed to media companies, direct to consumers or organisations that can have influence over a Company and its products.
